The famous Texas water park, Schlitterbahn, located in Galveston, has been hit with a premises liability suit. Two guests of the water park claim they have been severely injured while using one of the park’s slides. Larry Grissom and Dean R. Hepler filed a complaint with the Galveston County District Court against the water park and the company in charge of managing it. The plaintiffs claim that Schlitterbahn breached its duty of care. The park should be protecting guests from any obvious dangers. The suit alleges the water park failed to do this. According to the suit, Grissom suffered a concussion and Hepler says he broke his collarbone in 10 places. They allege they have suffered from decreased earning capacity, mental anguish, and physical impairment. This is not the first time the park has been in hot water. In the past, the popular water park chain has seen its fair share of legal issues. This includes a list of injuries occurring at the park and even the death of a boy in their Kansas City water park.
